Influences

My primary influences come from the early introduction of electronic sounds in some disco or pop tracks and especially anime soundtracks and sound effects using mindblowing analog synthesizers.
I rapidly started to follow musics composers who were using more and more these instruments, typically in New Wave. I caught the dawn of House music (bought my first Acid and New beat tape in 1988!) and got hooked to all electronic and dancing music that bloomed at that time such as Techno & Trance, but also to more relaxed Ambient and experimental tracks.
Then I started going out in the Alps area near Grenoble, France and got influences from the parties and local artists there: House, Electro, Techno, Goa trance, Hardcore, & Chillout, embracing all these styles. But even if these are my favorite styles, I really appreciate and listen to all kinds of music!

How I compose music

I tried coding Basic on an Amstrad to create sounds, but I really started producing electronic tracks with an Amiga 500, using "tracker" software.
Although it was great to create tracks easily, I really lacked an interface to play and sound design possibilities. Then I got my first analogue synth and a sampler which gave me the first fully featured music production system. Over the time, I found cabling and sampler programming tedious, and I enjoyed using Virtual instruments for sound design. But again I lacked the interface. With today's gear, I finally can use a blend of all this, using analogue instruments, computer & Digital Audio workstation, and control surfaces.
